PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device allowing smooth opening and closing between a storage position and a using position. SOLUTION: An engaging means includes a slot part located in either of a lid part or a display part, and an engagement pin 27. The slot part 30 includes the first groove part for turning the lid part by opening and closing the display part 24, and the second groove part for stopping the turning of the lid part and for opening and closing only the display part 24. A drive control means conducts brake control for short-circuiting two terminals for applying a drive voltage to the first motor 41 at a prescribed interval, during closing control of applying a display part 24 closing drive voltage to the first motor 41, after the engagement pin 27 is transited from the second groove part to the first groove part, when closing the display part 24 and the lid part, conducts brake control for short-circuiting the two terminals for applying a drive voltage to the second motor 61 at a prescribed interval, during lid part closing control of applying the drive voltage to the second motor 61, and further controls a brake control ratio of the first and second motors 41, 61, to make a lid closing speed get slower than a speed for closing the display part 24.
