<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing method can detect a substance to be detected in a liquid sample with high precision in a short measuring time at a low cost, a sensing device, an inspection chip and an inspection kit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the substance to be detected in the liquid sample is detected, the force in the direction vertical to a wall surface, to which the liquid sample is sent, is applied to the substance to be detected on the upstream side of a sensing surface to which a bonding substance specifically reacted with the substance to be detected is fixed, and the substance to be detected is drawn to or pressed to the wall surface to be concentrated. The liquid sample containing the concentrated substance to be detected is subsequently sent to the sensing surface from the wall surface to bond the substance to be detected in the sent liquid sample with the bonding substance, so that the bonded amount of the substance to be detected bonded to the bonding substance is detected.
