<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator-freezer capable of changing capacities of upper and lower compartments in independent sections at low costs with the small number of components with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this refrigerator-freezer having a refrigerating compartment 1, an ice-making compartment 2, a selective compartment 3, a vegetable compartment 4 and a freezing compartment 5 independent from each other, four independent sections 7a-7d are formed in the refrigerating compartment 1, and a vertically-movable ceiling shelf 8 is disposed in the lowermost independent section 7d.
