摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator coil in which damages to an insulating layer, due to mechanical stress caused at the start and stoppage of a rotary electric machine are suppressed, and the rotary electric machine can be reduced in size, reduced in cost and enhanced in the capacity through the increase of the current density in an element conductor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The stator coil 1 has the element conductor 2, obtained by bundling a plurality of element wires 2a, obtained by applying an insulating coating around a copper wire; a first insulating layer 3, formed around the element conductor 2 and having mica and a polymer with a siloxane bond in the main chain; a second insulating layer 4, formed around the first insulating layer 3 and having mica and a polymer with a glass transition point of 100°C or higher; and a semiconducting layer 5, formed around the second insulating layer 4 with a surface resistivity range of 1 Ω to 1 MΩ.
