<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a loss in energy by stopping supply of an electric current to an electric motor in a state of stopping a clutch, by miniaturizing the electric motor of an automatic clutch actuator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A joint part 16 of an intermediate lever 15 rockably supported by a support shaft 17, is rockably connected to a tip part of a driving arm 13 of a release fork 10 for operating the clutch 30. A roller 28 on the tip of a movable member 27 arranged in a moving member 20 movably guided and supported in substantially parallel to the intermediate lever, elastically presses one side of the intermediate lever. When reciprocating the moving member by the electric motor 22, the roller moves in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate lever, and the rotation moment around the support shaft applied to the intermediate lever increases/decreases, and this rotation moment is transmitted to the release fork via the joint part, and engages and disengages the clutch 30.
