<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film in which a sufficient optical compensation is achieved when used for a liquid crystal display, nonuniformity of a phase difference is small, and peelability is good, and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the film includes a process to pass a composition containing a thermoplastic resin between a first pinching surface and a second pinching surface which comprises a pinching device to continuously mold the composition in film-like. The composition is pinched by pressure of 20-1,000 MPa with the first pinching surface and the second pinching surface, temperature of the composition to be passed between the first pinching surface and the second pinching surface is Tg+5°C or higher, and at least one surface of the first pinching surface and the second pinching surface is controlled to have both at least one of a temperature range portion which is Tg or higher and at least one of a temperature range portion which is lower than Tg (wherein, Tg represents a glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic resin). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
