<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect player's jumping irrespective of the physique of the player. <P>SOLUTION: A game apparatus includes: boards on which players jump; shock absorbing members (suspension unit, connection member, or the like) installed under the boards, vertically movably supporting the boards and absorbing vertical shocks accompanying the players' jumping; and horizontal mechanisms (roller, slide mechanism, or the like) for horizontally maintaining the boards as the boards are vertically moved by the shock absorbing members. The game apparatus includes a group 42 of positional sensors for detecting a change in vertical movement of the boards by the shock absorbing members, and a group 43 of acceleration sensors.
