PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly precise electrophotographic apparatus using continuous paper without deteriorating printing quality. SOLUTION: A difference between a first buffer plate position detected by a buffer angle sensor immediately before a paper conveyance drive section starts paper conveyance for printing and a second buffer plate position detected by the buffer angle sensor when the speed of the paper conveyance by the paper conveyance drive section reaches a specific speed is converted into a difference in an amount of paper conveyance between the paper conveyance drive section and a heat roll drive section. From the value of this difference, a change rate of the radius of a heat roll is obtained. The acceleration profile of the heat roll drive section for the start of the subsequent paper conveyance is corrected by the change rate of the radius of the heat roll so that the amount of paper conveyance by the heat roll drive section and that by the paper conveyance drive section are equal.
