摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more rapidly and appropriately perform color shift correction regardless of the meandering of a belt compared with the case not having this configuration. SOLUTION: By arithmetically calculating color shift between colors and removing a component (cyclic variation) of the color shift caused by a rotational cycle of a photoreceptor drum 116 by movement averaging processing, a meandering portion of the belt is extracted. The shift amount of the meandering portion of the belt includes a fixed portion and a varied portion to be settled before long. The varied portion is predicted by obtaining a difference caused by a time difference without waiting until the varied portion is settled. By removing the predicted varied portion of the meandering of the belt, a DC component, that is, a quantitative shift amount being the total sum of a belt meandering fixed portion+component by relative positions between attached components is extracted to set a correction value.
