PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter enabling smooth operation without being caught in the surroundings when moved regardless of movement trajectory of the air filter, and an air filter cleaning device and an air conditioner using the air filter. SOLUTION: In the air filter and the air filter cleaning device and air conditioner using the air filter, in regard to the thickness of at least one of a lateral frame of a chip or a lateral frame of a terminal with respect to the insertion direction, the thickness of an inner portion on an opposite chip or opposite terminal side is set thinner than that of the chip or terminal in the insertion direction, or a slit is provided to make the chip of the air filter move smoothly in the front/back direction. Alternatively, at least one of chips or terminals of longitudinal frames at right and left both ends with respect to the insertion direction is formed to have a shape projecting toward the insertion direction, and a plurality of projecting/recessed grooves continued in parallel with the insertion direction are provided on a face coming into contact with an air filter guide.
