<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for extending a range of installing a projector which performs video adjustment based on a captured image. <P>SOLUTION: The projector 10 includes: a color separation and synthesis optical system 20 which generates projection light RP; a projection lens unit 30 which projects the projection light RP to a screen 80; a body case 40 storing the color separation and synthesis optical system 20 and the projection lens unit 30; imaging sensors 182 and 184 which images the screen 80; and a video adjusting part 114 which adjusts a video image projected to the screen 80 on the basis of the image captured by the imaging sensors 182 and 184.
