PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a magnetic pole piece of a magnet roll is a long-length component having a nearly fan-shaped cross section, consequently, it is very difficult to discriminate a direction of the magnetic pole piece from its outside appearance, which causes erroneous assembly. SOLUTION: In the magnet roll, at least two continuing magnetic pole pieces have notches formed at both ends in a circumferential direction on a side opposed to a shaft at both ends in a longitudinal direction. When the magnetic pole pieces having the notches are correctly stuck to the circumferential surface of the shaft, all of the shapes formed by the notch independently or formed by joining the notches at both edges of a magnet part are the same. When the magnetic pole pieces existing at both edges out of the magnetic pole pieces having the notches are incorrectly stuck to the circumferential surface of the shaft, none of the shapes formed by the notch independently or formed by joining the notches at both edges of the magnet part are the same.
