<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound specifically or selectively exhibiting antifungal activity based on the action mechanism of inhibiting the synthesis of 1,6-β-glucan. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The compound specifically or selectively exhibiting the antifungal activity in wide spectrum based on the action mechanism of inhibiting the synthesis of the 1,6-β-glucan is provided. The medicine, especially the antifungal agent, contains such the compound, a salt thereof or a hydrate thereof. Concretely, the compound is the one represented by formula (I), or the salt thereof or the hydrate thereof.
