<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductor consisting of one or more elements which are less expensive and stabler in the amount of supply as compared to the conventional superconductors. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The superconductor consists only of Group 8 elements, Group 15 elements and Group 16 elements. Preferably, the total mole number of Group 15 elements and Group 16 elements is equal to the mole number of Group 8 elements. More preferably, the above elements are mixed in a ratio of Group 8 elements: Group 15 elements: Group 16 elements of from 3:2:1 to 5:4:1, more preferably from 10:6:4 to 10:7:3, and most preferably 4:3:1.
