PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with simple and various operation methods. SOLUTION: A remote control RM transmits an operation signal corresponding to the depressing operation of an operation button 12 to a television receiver 2, and a television receiver 2 receives the operation signal, and a position relation between the television receiver 2 and the remote control RM is decided by using a distance between the television receiver 2 and the remote control RM, and the received operation signal is converted into a control command based on the position relation, and each control is controlled according to the control command, and various processing is executed so that it is possible to operate the television receiver 2 based on the position relation between the television receiver 2 and the remote control RM from the remote control RM side without increasing the number of operation buttons 12 of the remote control RM.
