PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission apparatus in which a plurality of slave devices A1 to AN are connected in a cascade fashion to a master device 2 via optical fibers, and an area size is set for each slave device. SOLUTION: Each of the plurality of slave devices wirelessly transmits a carrier signal corresponding to itself which has been acquired by a downstream processing means using a downstream light signal transmitted from the parent device, combines a carrier signal corresponding to an own device which has been wirelessly received by an upstream processing means, as an upstream light signal, with an upstream light signal from a slave device located at a lower level than that of the own device, and transmits the resultant signal to the master device. In one or both of the downstream and upstream processing means, coefficient storing means C1 to CN store weighting coefficients which are set for the respective slave devices, and coefficient multiplying means D1 to DN multiply the stored weighting coefficients by a carrier signal corresponding to the own device which is to be processed.
