PURPOSE: By inserting addition frequency components into one or more neighbor band which is contiguous to the effective band of the provisional frequency response it exacts, the channel estimator and method thereof of the fast Fourier transform base calculate the channel frequency response. CONSTITUTION: An LS channel estimator(510) presumes the provisional frequency response based on the subcarriers of the reference signals. The IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transformation) input compositor(520) constitutes the IFFT input by inserting addition frequency components. The IFFT(530) is proceed IFFT of the size Ns about the IFFT input. The sample extraction(540) extracts a plurality of samples among the time domain samples of the Ns belongs to the time domain response. The FFT is proceed FFT about the output of the sample extraction.
