The post contains elementary light sources i.e. LEDs (38), and optical coupling units for maintaining end sections of optical fibers (18) i.e. polymethyl methacrylate fibers, such that centers of the end sections are arranged along a line (A) e.g. straight line, which extends along the post. The units comprise a linear lens (43) arranged among the sources and end sections. Diopters (42, 44) of the lens are conformed to focus the light produced by the sources on the line.
