摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve holding force for holding a member to be held by making residual axial force in the base part of a caulked workpiece larger. SOLUTION: A caulking stage and a pressure application stage to a bearing holder 8 are performed at the same time and, furthermore, with individual rollers 24, 26. Thus, the formation of the caulked part and the improvement of residual axial force in the peripheral wall part 8c are not restricted by each other because the caulking with the caulking roller 24 and the pressure application with the pressure application roller 26 for increasing the amount of plastic deformation are independently performed. Then, the durability of a formed holding structure by caulking is higher and the holding structure by caulking having satisfactory residual axial force is obtained because the setting of the holding force of the bearing is performed at high degree of freedom without being greatly affected by the caulking. A mechanism for attaching the bearing to the inside of a bearing holder 8 with bolts or the like is made unnecessary and a whole actuator and a whole internal combustion engine to which the actuator is applied are miniaturized.
