PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade for regulating an amount of developer, which can suppress the occurrence of unevenness, stripes and ghost or the like on an obtained image by uniformly forming a thin film of developer on a developer carrier while abutting on the developer carrier with fixed pressure over a long term with the achievements of high image quality and speeding-up of an electrophotographic process. SOLUTION: The blade for regulating the amount of the developer having a supporting member and a blade member regulates the amount of the developer carried out by the developer carrier from a developer container provided in a developing device of an electrophotographic device. The blade member is set so that international rubber hardness (IRHD) is 60 or more and 90 or less, length L of a free end is 5 mm or more and 10 mm or less, and a ratio L/t of thickness t to the length L of the free end is 6 or more and 10 or less.
