PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from leaking from an engaging part of an ink cartridge when attaching/detaching the ink cartridge in a printing machine. SOLUTION: This attachment and detachment mechanism includes: an inner plug 231 which is pressed outward by an pressure from the inner part of an ink feeding opening 230 of the ink cartridge 200 and seals the ink feeding opening 230; a joint part 313 provided on a printing apparatus side and having an inner space 310a communicating with the ink feeding opening 230 under a fitting condition; an inserting shaft 312 inserted into the ink feeding opening 230 under an engaged condition in the inner space 310a in the joint part 313, pushing the inner plug 231 into the ink feeding opening 230, and opening a path communicating with the inner space 310a in the ink feeding opening 230; and a flowing-out preventing member 320 which is inserted into the inserting shaft 312 so as to slide and move, is energized to the outside of a holder side joint part 313, and is slid and moved according to engagement of the ink feeding opening 230.
