<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch unit capable of accurately switching a fixed contact where a movable contact comes in contact for a long period. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The switch unit includes: a housing 2 having a storage section; an operation member 5 for receiving a pushing operation, the fixed contact 4 constructed with a metal common contact 41 and a metal switching contact 42 formed standingly in the storage section; the movable contact 7 having first and second contact portions 75a, 75b separated from and in contact with the switching contact 42; and a snap-action mechanism 6 for driving the movable contact 7 when pushing the operation member 5 to a designated position. A first driving element 8 is turnably supported by the common contact 41 forming the snap-action mechanism 6, and a second driving element 9 forming the snap-action mechanism 6 is turnably supported by a metal support body 11 formed standingly in the storage section.
