<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data association definition system which is used together with an application development support system and thoroughly and completely recognizes information handled in the application and a range of influence when the information is changed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A server of the data association definition system cooperating with a support system has: a means for adding an attribute "unneccessary" when a data item normally held by the support system is unnecessary for a customer; a means for relating a term with the data item when a name of the data item does not match the customer's term; a means for defining a data classification item classified by semantic unit to which the data item belongs and storing a data classification item ID in association with a data item ID into a data classification item table; and a means for extracting data classification item ID stored in the data classification item table without redundancy and storing it into the job data table together with the "unneccessary" attribute information of the data item.
