PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for stably and continuously holding a plurality of rolling elements over a long period of time by improving build-in property of a rolling element to a pocket, improving build-in property when the retainer is built in between inner and outer rings, and preventing damage when the rolling element is built in the pocket. SOLUTION: The retainer 8 has a retainer body 10 of hollow cylinder shape extending continuously in a circumferential direction along between the inner and outer rings. The retainer body is provided with a plurality of pockets 8p for holding the plurality of rolling elements 12 rotatably one by one, at predetermined spaces along the circumferential direction. Each pocket extends along the retainer body, and is opened on one end side of the retainer body and closed on the other side. The respective rolling elements are inserted from an opening M on one end side of the retainer body and built in the respective pockets along the retainer body so as to be rotatably held one by one in the pockets.
