<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput of a printer constituted by combining a printing unit and a post-processing unit, in which the units independently perform their processing without restraining operation of the other. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The printer is equipped with: the printing unit B performing printing on a rolled printing paper sheet P while conveying the paper sheet P, and feeding the paper sheet P; and the post-processing unit C receiving the printed paper sheet fed from the printing unit, and performing the post-processing. Between last rollers R2 of the printing unit and first rollers R3 of the post-processing unit, a storage space is formed to store the printed paper sheet fed from the rollers of the printing unit by dropping and bending the printed paper sheet by its own weight. Its upper opening face is provided with: a guide member 16b supporting the printed paper sheet fed from the roller of the printing unit and guiding the printed paper sheet in a roller direction of the post-processing unit; and a means for moving the guide member from a closed position to an opened position of the upper opening face of the storage space 16a after the rollers of the post-processing unit hold a leading edge of the paper sheet, when the printing unit feeds a long printed paper sheet.
