<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce image lag at a display part and to save power consumption in an EPD (Electrophoresis Display). Ž<P>SOLUTION: When determining that a display instruction to display a next image is received from an operation part 16 or a coordinate acquiring part 17, a CPU 11 controls a power supply control part 18 to acquire residual of power, and refers to a drive pattern table 141 from a storage part 14. The CPU 11 specifies an erasion drive pattern corresponding to the acquired residual of power, and stores the specified erasion drive pattern in a RAM 13, so as to set it as an erasion drive pattern to be performed. The CPU 11 performs black erasion processing and white erasion processing according to the set erasion drive pattern.
