PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body mounted type display device which achieves the miniaturization of the device and the reduction of cost. SOLUTION: In the display device, a display screen of a display element that displays an image based on an input video signal and a light receiving surface of an imaging device that photographs a user's eye are arranged on the same optical axis, and the display element is operated in a first period within a predetermined unit period in each predetermined unit period, and the imaging device is operated instead of the display element in a second period succeeding to the first period.
