<p>The device has light sources (7a, 7b) e.g. LED, arranged behind a display face. The light source supplies light guide (6) arranged under a graduated part and a zone adjacent to the graduated part. Mobile occultation units (4, 5) e.g. opaque mask, are arranged so that part of the occultation units is placed under the graduated part or zone, by being interposed between the guide and graduated part, to allow illumination of a predetermined interval of the graduated part or predetermined interval (Ze) of the zone.
