<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of a clearance having a risk of catching a body between itself and a head board and to reduce rattling in an inserted side rail of a bed. <P>SOLUTION: This side rail spacer 8 is configured as a bent/notched cylindrical member 9 formed by orthogonally bending it and notching the lower side of the cylindrical shape.
