<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing alumina particles capable of being suitably used as abrasive grains in an application of polishing an object to be polished to obtain a polished surface having a high smoothness and few faults; and to provide a method for producing boehmite particles suitable for production of the boehmite particles useful as a raw material of such alumina particles. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the boehmite particles, by subjecting an aluminum hydroxide powder with a nucleus generating agent to a hydrothermal reaction, the boehmite particles whose primary particle shape is a hexahedron and which have an average primary particle diameter of≤0.6μm is produced. The method for producing the alumina particles comprises the steps of drying the boehmite particles obtained by the method, calcining the boehmite particle after dried to obtain alumina particles, and crushing the obtained alumina particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
