PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly manage the present amount of a waste fluid in a waste fluid tank. SOLUTION: An image formation device includes an image formation means for forming a picture using an ink, the waste fluid tank which is detachably installed in the image formation device and is a receptacle for collecting the waste fluid of the ink discharged from the image formation means and has a memory element for holding identification information A and waste fluid amount information B of the waste fluid tank, a memory means for holding identification information C and waste fluid amount information D of the waste fluid tank, and a control means for managing the information on the waste fluid tank. The control means determines the present amount of waste fluid in the waste fluid tank at a predetermined timing from the identification information A and waste fluid amount information B in the memory element, and on the identification information C and waste fluid amount information D in the memory means, and then updates the present amount of waste fluid from the subsequent movement of the image formation means.
