<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load acting on a canopy at a fall. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A member 25 for contact at the fall is provided in such a manner as to be positioned on the downside with respect to a canopy roof 24, between right and left supports 22 and 21 constituting the canopy 20. Thus, when a hydraulic excavator 1 falls backward, the member 25 can be brought into contact with a ground surface in advance of the upper end side of each of the supports 21 and 22. Consequently, when the hydraulic excavator 1 falls backward, the load acting on each of the supports 21 and 22 can become smaller than in the case where the upper end sides of the right and left supports 22 and 21 constituting the canopy 20 collide with the ground surface, and the deformation etc. of the canopy 20 can be suppressed.
