GROUND FAULT PROTECTION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A ground fault protection system is provided to minimize the influence of harmonic by including a grounding transformer using a zigzag coil. CONSTITUTION: A ground fault protection system comprises a grounding transformer(700), a ground resistor(800), and a ground over-current relay(900). The grounding transformer is connected to the phase of a three-phase transformer(100) to a zigzag way. The grounding transformer has a first winding. The ground resistor is serially connected to the neutral point of the grounding transformer. The ground resistor restricts a ground fault current. The ground over-current relay is connected to the ground resistor. The ground over-current relay measures a ground fault current.
