PURPOSE: A rotary cylinder for a compressor using carbon dioxide as refrigerant is provided to improve the sealing performance by an oil film and prevent the abrasion of the parts, thereby improving reliability and compression efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A rotary compressor comprises a cylinder(100) which includes a compression chamber(110) accommodating a roller, an inlet(130) supplying a fluid to the compression chamber, and a vane groove(170) in which a vane dividing the compression chamber into intake and discharge sections is received. An extension groove with open top and bottom is formed on the exit side of the inlet. An oil supply path(190) is formed in the cylinder to connect the extension groove and the vane groove.
