PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which enhances the customizability of a processing function of information embedded in an image. SOLUTION: In the image forming device which is connected to a software component for executing a process configuring a part of a job concerning image data for executing the job, the image forming device includes: an embedded information process control means for extracting embedded information with respect to the image data output from the other software component based on one of the software components or for controlling an embedded information process concerning embedding; and an embedded information process service means for executing the embedded information process with respect to the image data in response to an instruction from the embedded information process control means. The embedded information process service means includes: a common service means for executing a common process for a type of the embedded information process; and one or more peculiar service means for carrying out a peculiar process in response to the type, thereby enhancing the customizability of the processing function of information embedded in the image.
