PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain unification of personal identification means by performing personal identification independently from the registration environment of biological information. SOLUTION: The system includes a personal identification server, a management terminal, a biological information reader, a cellular phone terminal possessed by a user who performs personal identification, and a code reader for reading an optical reading code. The management terminal includes a means which transmits biological information and personal information to the server and also creates and transmits an optical reading code including the personal information and server designation information to the cellular phone terminal during pre-registration, and further transmits the biological information and the personal information included in the optical reading code to the server based on the server designation information and receives a collation result from the server during personal identification. The server stores the biological information and personal information received during pre-registration to a personal information management database, performs collation based on the biological information and personal information received during personal identification, and transmits the result to the management terminal.
