PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of failing in video recording, relating to a video recorder which records video directly in a network storage. SOLUTION: The video recorder 100 always monitors the availability of traffic of a network 200 and a network storage 201. When a process is commanded to execute direct recording to the network storage 201, if immediate execution is not appropriate based on the result of monitoring, the recording is made on a local storage 110 temporarily, and the recorded file is transferred to the network storage 201 thereafter.
