PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and a program for electronic mail for reducing any anxiety or discomfort to be given to a user in the case of displaying electronic mail after executing a virus check. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with: a reception part for receiving electronic mail; a display part for displaying electronic mail; a display instruction receiving part for receiving a display instruction of electronic mail from a user; a security check part for executing a security check to the electronic mail; and a display control part for making a display screen display electronic mail when the display instruction of the electronic mail is received, and the security check of the electronic mail is completed, and for making the display screen display an alternate image when the security check of the electronic mail is not completed, and for making the security check part execute the security check of the electronic mail, and for making the display screen display the electronic mail after the end of security check.
