PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of restraining agitating resistance of oil with a simple structure. SOLUTION: This power transmission device is arranged in a vehicle. The power transmission device includes a housing 10 for storing the oil in a bottom part and a ring gear 22 stored in the housing 10, transmitting motive power and raking up the oil 100 stored in the bottom part of the housing 10. The housing 10 includes a first member 11 having an inside space 13 and a second member 12 juxtaposed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle to the first member 11. The second member 12 has an extending part 12B extending toward the inside space 13 and formed so as to reduce a step height of a distance between the first member 11 and the outer periphery of the ring gear 22.
