<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus and a sound adjusting method for outputting sound at a desired volume level even if sound volumes to be output on the basis of input sound information are different. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A user sets, when he or she is not satisfied with the output sound volume in a selected language, a desired sound volume based on a setting item 140. An image display device 1 stores the sound volume to an HDD 22 as setting information 220. When a different language is selected by the user, the image display device 1 extracts the setting information 220 corresponding to the selected language from the HDD 22 to adjust the output sound based on the extracted setting information 220.
