<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peristaltic pump reduced in power consumption by combining an electric feedback control system with a torque compensation system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric feedback control system optimally adjusts, when in use, the power supplied to a power source, and the torque compensation system reduces the torque generated by a driving means. Power consumption of the peristaltic pump can be reduced by combination of the electric feedback control system with the torque compensation system in comparison with a pump not having the former system and the latter.
