<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system for a vehicle, which is made compact while receiving the full benefit of the effects of equal power shift as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission system 10 for the vehicle includes: an electric continuously variable transmission 11 in which a differential state between an input rotational speed and an output rotational speed is controlled according as the operating state of an electric motor MG is controlled; and an automatic transmission 20 configuring a portion of a power transmission path from the electric continuously variable transmission 11 to a driving wheel 32. When an unequal power shift is performed in the shift of the automatic transmission 20, the unequal power shift is performed according to a difference between the output of the first electric motor MG 1 or the second electric motor MG2 necessary for the equal power shift and the maximum output of the first electric motor MG1 or the second electric motor MG2 which can be actually output.
