<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply using a first power converter, a second power converter, and a clamp reset circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The clamp reset circuit is electrically coupled to other components in the first power converter and the second power converter. A clamp standby connection is provided to electrically couple the clamp reset circuit to components including the second power converter. The clamp reset circuit is coupled to reduce the magnetizing energy of a transformer of the first power converter and limit a voltage on a component of the second power converter. The clamp reset circuit can include a Zener diode and a resistor that are provided to reduce the magnetizing energy of the first power converter and a voltage through the second power converter.
