摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for decomposing ozone, which has high ability to decompose ozone even under a condition of low temperature and high humidity. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for decomposing ozone contains manganese hydroxide, iron hydroxide and activated carbon. A method for manufacturing the catalyst for decomposing ozone includes a step of reacting water-soluble manganese salt and water-soluble iron salt with an alkali to obtain manganese hydroxide and iron hydroxide. A metal hydroxide is preferably used as the alkali. It is preferable that the metal salt, which is produced as a by-product when water-soluble manganese salt and water-soluble iron salt are reacted with the metal hydroxide, is made to remain in the catalyst as it is without washing it out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
