<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer supply device suppressing an image failure such as fogging by reducing the minimum amount to be replenished per a unit time, without decreasing the maximum amount of toner replenished from a toner replenishing device to a developing device 19. <P>SOLUTION: This developer supply device includes: a toner amount detecting sensor 28 for detecting an amount of toner in the developing device 19; a toner container 10 for storing toner to be replenished to the developing device 19; an intermediate conveyer 18 for conveying the toner stored in the toner container 10 to the developing device 19; a replenish roller 17 for supplying the toner stored in the toner container 10 to the intermediate conveyer 18 by an intermittent rotation operation; a printing rate calculating part 34 for calculating a printing rate based on image data; and a control circuit 35 for reducing intermittent rotation driving time of the replenishing roller 17 and for practically reducing toner conveying speed by the intermediate conveyer 18, when the printing rate calculated by the printing rate calculating part 34 is a predetermined value or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
