PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mounted state and mounting work of a leg member to a bottom plate member of an outdoor unit. SOLUTION: This outdoor unit for an air conditioner is equipped with: a casing including the bottom plate member; and the leg member 40 mounted to the bottom plate member. The bottom plate member has a horizontal section and a vertical section rising almost vertically from the horizontal section. The leg member 40 has: horizontal mounting sections 44, 45 facing the horizontal section and fixed to the horizontal section; a vertical tab 46 facing the vertical section and fixed to the vertical section; and another vertical tab 47.
