PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control consumption of batteries of a transceiver attached to the wheel side, and enable synchronization of transmission of a trigger signal from a trigger machine when detecting a wheel position and reception of the trigger signal by the transceiver, thus securing reception of the trigger signal by the transceiver. SOLUTION: A trigger signal notifying a wheel position detection is transmitted in advance before outputting a wheel position detection signal, which is to say, a trigger signal to be used for signal intensity measurement, and a receiver 3 outputs a trigger signal indicating the wheel position detection signal from the trigger machine 5 again after confirming that the transceiver 2 has received the trigger signal notifying the wheel position detection, thereby allowing an output of the wheel position detection signal after transition of the transceiver 2 to a wheel position detection waiting state in which the wheel position detection signal can be received, and allowing the transceiver 2 to receive the wheel position detection signal unfailingly to measure a signal intensity thereof.
