PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely perform facsimile transmission of an original document to a desired destination using a client terminal such as existing facsimile equipment as it is. SOLUTION: In a facsimile transmission proxy device 10, a facsimile original document to be transmitted from the client terminal 1 is received by a receiving part 11, a main control part 18 has a specific code (such as a bar code or a two-dimensional code) added to the received facsimile original document read by a scanning part 12, has the specific code by analyzed by an analysis part 13 to acquire address information (such as a FAX number), has the facsimile original document performed the facsimile transmission by a transmission part 17 on the basis of the address information, and the client terminal 1 is informed of a processing result of the facsimile original document as a log.
