PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that prevents sounding and enhances the rigidity of a front cabinet without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: The display device includes a panel module 1 having a display surface 11a on the front side, and the front cabinet 2 enclosing a peripheral edge portion of the panel module 1 from the front side, wherein the front cabinet 2 is provided with long-side ribs 23 and 23 and short-side ribs protruded behind along peripheral edges of the display surface 11a, and contact projections 25, protruded so as to have their ends behind those ribs. Consequently, the contact projections 25 suppress fine vibrations of the panel module 1, and make transmission area of the fine vibrations small to suppress transmission of the fine vibrations, thereby preventing sounding without increasing the number of components.
