<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of stably forming an image even when it is used repeatedly. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a charge blocking layer and a photoreceptor layer laminated on a conductive support in order and further includes another layer. The photoreceptor layer includes a titanyl phthalocyanine crystal which is obtained by converting a titanyl phthalocyanine crystal having a specific diffraction peak as a diffraction peak (±0.2°) of Bragg angle 2θ relative to CuKα characteristic X-rays (wavelength of 1.542 Å) and an average primary particle size equal to or less than 0.2 μm, which has the maximum diffraction peak at 26.2° as a diffraction peak (±0.2°) of Bragg angle 2θ relative to CuKα characteristic X-rays, which also has peaks at 9.3°, 10.5°, 13.2°, 15.1°, 15.6°, 16.1°, 20.7°, 23.2°, 26.2°, 27.1°, 28.3°, and which has an average primary particle size equal to or less than 0.2 μm.
